ISOs

← Stronghold

The installer puts Stronghold on the first disk without asking, and erases it. For that it carries a login, which is why there is no ISO for everyone: make one with your own, in a few lines.

Make one

On a Fedora with podman. The login (and its password or SSH key) goes in a file:

mkdir -p output
cat > config.toml <<'EOT'
[[customizations.user]]
name = "admin"
password = "choose-a-password"
groups = ["wheel"]
EOT
sudo podman pull containers.home.rydekull.se/stronghold:44
sudo podman run --rm --privileged --pull=newer --security-opt label=type:unconfined_t \
    -v ./config.toml:/config.toml:ro -v ./output:/output \
    -v /var/lib/containers/storage:/var/lib/containers/storage \
    quay.io/centos-bootc/bootc-image-builder:latest \
    --type anaconda-iso --rootfs xfs containers.home.rydekull.se/stronghold:44

The ISO is output/bootiso/install.iso: write it to a USB stick or boot a VM from it. It needs the network while it is made, not while it installs. For an SSH key instead of a password, use key = "ssh-ed25519 AAAA…".
